Easy Peach Cobbler

If you haven’t heard… allrecipes.com is basically the bomb!

I’m not much of a chef, that’s partly due to the fact that I’m only 19 and still live with my parents and do not need to cook and partly because most recipes overwhelm me.  This will obviously need to change because eventually I am going to be a super mom & wife and will need to know how to do said things.  Because that’s what being a super mom and wife is all about, right?? Only kidding, I think you can be a great mom and wife without knowing how to cook, but I would like to learn.

Getting to the point…

Even at 19 young years of age, I still get asked to make things to bring to parties, dinners, etc.  and because I’m challenged in that aspect (duly noted twice now..moving on) I bring this recipe that is absolutely delicious, easy and always a crowd pleaser.  Seriously, you have to try it, it is amazing and just like I did, you will have your doubts but upon pulling it from the oven they will all wash away!

Easy Peach Cobbler

What you’ll need:

1 (29 ounce) can sliced peaches, drained

5 slices white bread, crusts trimmed

1 1/2 cups white sugar

2 tablespoons self-rising flour

1 egg, beaten

1/2 cup margarine, melted

How you’ll make it:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Place the peaches into the bottom of a buttered 9 inch square baking dish. Cut each slice of bread into 4 strips, and place over the peaches. In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, egg and margarine; pour over the bread.
  3. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.

You really cannot mess up this recipe, so give it a shot!

This is not my picture but I do not have my before and after shots with me right now, so I will add them later, but this is basically what the finished product will look like!

And because I know that you will love this recipe so much, I will just go ahead and say…. you’rewelcomeverymuch!

***UPDATE***

Here are my before and after shots that I promised to add in:
